Mason Parker of Mason’s Creations in Portland, Oregon has created a spectacular stained glass octopus chandelier.  This incredible chandelier measures about four feet across, and the body and arms can be lit separately or simultaneously.

Oblong Headed Style

The artist created an other fantastic octopus chandelier in grey and white tones: Oblond Headed Style.

Me too, the octopi lights are beautiful. The only thing that I’d like to twick is a more moving light s coming out the bottom of the octopus instead of the head. That way there’s more lighting where we need it, but also in all parts of the room. It’s important to showcase the octopus but they are extravagant enough to capture and hold plenty of attention. Maybe move the suction cup parts a little outward on the sides and light could pour in to the room where tasks can be accomplished.

Truely awesome, I feel like this is what I’ve been waiting for.

Hi, Mr. Parker! We love your octopus chandelier! Is there a website to visit to see prices and other light creatures? We are in Texas, too far away to visit, but we’d love to see if they are affordable, and if you ship.
Thank you!

For those of you who are saying you are interested in Mason Parker’s designs, there is a link to his website in the first sentence of this article. FYI the octopus chandelier is $21,000 but shipping is free. Also, there are some lovely lamps and other stained glass artwork for much less.

Beautiful, but I think they would be a nightmare to clean.

Reply
Mason Parker 17 décembre 2019 - 4 h 48 min

Hi Bobby, the newer ones are very easy to clean. A vacuum cleaner works well, and then a camel hair brush for getting around the suckers. takes about 45 minutes-hour. Or even easier if you have a compressed air hose gun. Bulbs and rope lights are easy to change too.

Thank you Edward, and my deepest gratitude to you for getting me tens of thousands of views and comments on my Facebook page! Only a matter of time before someone buys this one, like the last four that were network word of mouth sales. I can only usually make one a year, so unfortunately I’m limited to maybe 20 or 50 more in my lifetime. But I know my eighth one will be the artist’s pick, purple toned with black solder finish. Yes, shipping is free and so is delivery and installation if within 400 miles of Portland Oregon, which I did in 2016 for a customer in Los Gatos California.

You need some apprentices, so you could have a workshop to share your vision to more of the public. Absolutely beautiful!

You sir are amazing. If I had the excess money I’d get one in a heartbeat. I recommend sending pics to hotels, businesses in Alaska( where I live) as this is exactly the kind of thing that our businesses love! Ocean or wildlife themes are huge here. Museums, restaurants, convention centers, lodges, hotels, seriously- I bet you could sell many many pieces, even the bigger pieces up hear in a heartbeat. You should contact the Sea life Center in Seward too. Kudos for such beautiful work. I’m serious about tapping the market up here, I hope you Decide to advertise up here. On a personal note: I love the area you like in. I went to college in Portland and my roommate lived in Hillsboro- love the whole area.
