					<description><![CDATA[It reminds me of the public toilets on Wimbledon High Street except the pipework and fittings were made of copper and brass, that were highly polished (except near the joints where there was some verdigris) by the old fellow that looked after the place.. The tiles were mostly white with some in green. Probably Victorian tiles. It was in the summer of  1976, I distinctly remember the urinals being large white monoliths. I was about 11 at the time so its funny how a picture can drum up old memories. The place was closed down soon after, by Merton Council to save money. It&#039;s progress or so they say. Perhaps that is why the Steampunk genre is popular with many people, as it is where the past and future can co-exist.]]></description>
